Lindsey and Noam's NYC engagement

I love the chance to be back in New York. The chaos, the pace: it’s like nothing else. So, when Lindsey and Noam reached out about taking some NYC engagement photos with them, I was all in.

Lindsey and Noam met in their acting class! They are both in the industry. Lindsey acts full time. She's my queen because she's been in Lifetime movies quite a bit and I am a junkie for those movies. Both Noam and Lindsey are Jewish, so for their NYC engagement photos we started in their favorite little Jewish deli in the Upper East Side and went from there.

Not Your Average NYC Engagement Photos

The flower stands at the delis are so popular in the city, and while I captured them buying the flowers, I also loved getting the chance to incorporate some posing within the flowers, taking advantage of the different levels of the stands. To bring strong posing into city elements is always fun instead of the typical "run around the city" vibes. 

If the concept was NYC engagement photos, I really wanted to keep it true to the city and play around with those elements. The time we stopped by a trash can under some scaffolding was the perfect example. Again, having Lindsey standing (in her sweet white heels, no less) on top of the trash can was such a great way to work levels and turn something unremarkable into a few of my favorite photos from the session.

But in the end, what really made these NYC engagement photos so electric is the energy these guys have. They are so playful and fun yet so intimate and sexy at the same time.
