Stylish and Sustainable Los Angeles Wedding at the Smog Shoppe

Stylish Smog Shoppe Wedding

Kait and Luke have this incredible, constant playful energy, and it made their wedding at The Smog Shoppe in Los Angeles a total blast. They knew when they were planning it that they wanted their wedding to have a very Cali vibe, and the Smog Shoppe was the perfect spot, with a great balance of open airiness and industrial grit. That stunning greenery wall for the ceremony backdrop made all the difference.

Now, when you have a venue that has grounds, you can whisk the happy couple away for their portraits - but when there isn’t a place to sneak away your couple for their photos (the heart of LA, for example), you have to think outside of the box because those open clean spaces aren’t always available. So we had some flashy fun in their Smog Shoppe reception space while their guests were busy at cocktail hour.

Leaning into the Moment

I’m going to go on record here to say that the dance floor was probably the best I've ever seen. Kait and Luke had a big projector screen playing old random Youtube videos with mixed-in home videos of the two of them, and their guests loved it.

We ended the night in a tiny bathroom stall together because I found some fun lighting. Kait and Luke were amazing at seizing the moment, and these shots turned out to be their favorite photos.
